Fleetwood Unveils ‘07 American Coaches

Fleetwood RV has announced the rollout of its 2007 American Coach luxury motorhome brands — Heritage, Eagle and Tradition, featuring over 400 product changes.

American Heritage, the flagship brand of the American Coach line-up, features all-new interior decors, including new traditional wood options, in the 2007 model year. The 2007 American Eagle offers six new floorplans, while American Tradition has four new floorplans — both brands now include a full-wall slide option. (more…)

Paris Motor Show: Knaus V-liner

Vive la différence! This Euro-style RV is a cool alternative to its (much) larger North American counterparts.

German travel trailer and recreational vehicle builder Knaus is exhibiting their V-Liner compact RV in Paris, and for his first time seeing the V-Liner up close and personal, John was very impressed. (You may recall that we featured its C-Liner sistership in our “Top 10 ways to motor your home” feature.) Despite the rather baroque front-end styling, the V-Liner is packed with cool features.

There’s nothing that will spark the interest of RVers like the prospect of free overnight parking. Places such as Wal-Mart parking lots, and truck stops, are well known freebies, and if you are on the move in your RV, enlarging your list of possible free overnight camping locations will increase your options. What is especially encouraging is that Casinos as a whole are RV friendly.

There are more Wendy’s, McDonalds, and other fast food places than there are gas stations.And that’s a good thing when your transportation is powered by waste vegetable oil.”An RV (recreational vehicle), like any diesel engine, will run on vegetable oil if you heat the oil and feed it to the engine when it’s hot,” said Steve Adler whose RV runs on vegetable oil.
