Coachmen press release:  Everything about Coachmen’s new Prism™ M-230 motorhome says, “Easy.” This is a coach that is easy to drive, easy on gas, and easy on the eyes.

Coachmen builds the Prism on a Freightliner Sprinter chassis. With its length of 24 feet, 11 inches, Prism is a great motorhome for couples or small families looking for a touring coach or an RV for everyday use. The vehicle size and the comfortable cockpit create a driving sensation similar to an automobile or SUV, and its 3.0 L V-6 turbo-diesel engine gets an estimated 17 to 19 miles per gallon.

The Prism has a sleek aerodynamic exterior with fiberglass sidewalls, end caps and running boards. While the stylish, flowing lines from the cab to the body and the full-body paint give this coach a definite automotive feel, it is also functional with its 52 cubic-feet of pass-through storage.

Stepping into Prism is entering a world of elegance. Coachmen designers searched the salons and design shops of Europe for the styling and appliances for this coach. The elegant Expresso walnut cabinetry and contoured countertops are gracefully curved to give the interior a sensuous, eye-appealing look. Stylish overhead cabinets provide ample storage space, and the soft-touch vinyl ceiling adds to the comfortable appearance. And, all of this luxury comes with a base manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $105,000. (more…)

Mysterie about Motorhome death

POLICE are baffled after a man in his 60s was found dead in his motorhome at Caboolture, and his younger companion was taken to hospital apparently both suffering poisoning.

Police said a friend had found the pair after the 27-year-old answered the door of their converted bus at the Caboolture showgrounds about 5.15pm in a semi-conscious state. The elderly man, known as Frank, was found dead inside the dwelling.

The younger man, who is deaf, was taken to Caboolture Hospital in a stable condition. He regained consciousness in hospital and was interviewed by police.

Neighbour Tegan Bichener had returned home briefly about 5pm when she noticed the man struggling to open to door for his friend.

“He couldn’t get the door open, it was one of his mates at the door.

“It was a big shock right next door to us too.”

Her partner, Shane Stevens, said Frank was a quiet but kind man, who had brought food around for them after his work with a community care group.

“He used to also come and give us fruit, but he never used to say much. He would just give it to me and go,” he said.

“He would bring enough for a few of us around here.”

“They pretty much kept to themselves, I didn’t get to know either of them really.”

Police said that the younger man was not aware that he had consumed anything dangerous.

Police are still investigating.
