According to all visitor surveys taken on Kauai, the single most popular activity is a helicopter tour of the island.Image - Kauai Hawaii Map

Your Island Helicopters tour over the “Garden Isle” is the most scenic and personalized tour of its kind. Everyone should experience such a tour at least once in a lifetime, and there is no better place than Kauai because so much of the island can only be seen from the air. Island Helicopters has been providing deluxe helicopter tours from the Lihue Airport longer than any company in the State of Hawaii - over 27 years.

Over 80% of Kauai’s diverse terrain is inaccessible making the helicopter the best way to see our spectacular waterfalls, canyons, mountains, valleys, rain forests and secluded beaches. We offer one tour on the island of Kauai which is the Deluxe “Kauai Grand” helicopter tour.

The “Kauai Grand” tour is the most beautiful scenic adventure that you will ever witness. A fantastic rainbow of colors surround you as you view the famous Manawaiopuna Falls in the Hanapepe Valley (as seen in the movie Jurassic Park).

Enter the Olokele Canyon, the gateway to the world class Waimea Canyon, the “Grand Canyon of the Pacific”, adorned in its multitudes of rich colors and deep valleys.

Continuing past the ancient caves and terraces, your flight passes such sites as Hanalei Valley, over the famous Lumahai Beach and even the Princeville Resort.

This mountain is the source for the most majestic waterfalls on Kauai, some cascading thousands of feet to the valley’s floor below! Before we land at Lihue Airport, we pass by Wailua Falls, better known as Fantasy Island Waterfalls.

The above is a typical fifty to fifty-five minute tour by Island Helicopters. Our flightseeing tour will cover all these areas plus much more. Routes may vary due to adverse weather systems or weather conditions.

Our daily flights commence at approximately 8:00am with the last flight departing at approximately 4:15pm. Our office is conveniently located at the Lihue Airport directly across from the heliport. We have ample free parking at our office. Customers are offered fresh coffee and cookies as they are greeted and given information upon check-in.
